Meet at 5:00 on the Water by 6:00

Interested in learning how to paddle (kayak, canoe, SUP)? Maybe you would just like a chance to enjoy the water and the camaraderie that goes along with it.  We have just the opportunity for you.  Now that the major construction is done at Kiwanis Park in Rotterdam Junction and the water on the Mohawk is rising, Monday night paddling can begin on May 18, 2026.  We gather at 6:00 for a 45-60 minute paddle beginning at 6:30, then enjoy each other's company afterwards.  Bring some snacks/beverages to share. Bring your own human-powered watercraft and PFD or call Kim at 518-421-2939 by Sunday of each week and she and Ed can bring equipment.

Telluride Ski Resort offers over 2,000 skiable acres and 4,400 feet of vertical, with terrain for all levels — from gentle groomers to expert chutes. Despite its size and variety, it rarely feels crowded because of its remote location and limited lift lines. The setting is a dramatic box canyon surrounded by 13,000- and 14,000-foot peaks. The views from the top of the mountain are some of the most stunning in North America.

The town of Telluride is a National Historic Landmark, full of Old West charm, with no chain stores and a walkable layout. The free gondola connects it to Mountain Village, offering a unique and scenic commute. You’ll see all types of people It feels like a real community, not just a resort town.

Thanks to its high elevation and dry Colorado air, Telluride gets over 300 inches of snow annually — and it’s often light, fluffy powder that skiers dream of. Storms stick to the San Juans and reward those who make the journey.

Beginners can enjoy wide-open, scenic runs, while advanced skiers have access to challenging terrain like Revelation Bowl, Gold Hill, and hike-to terrain like Palmyra Peak. It’s a true playground for every level.

..Just people who love the mountains!

SWC is proud to offer a truly awesome ski trip to Grindelwald, Switzerland. Grindelwald is one of those places that makes you fall in love with skiing all over again — whether it's your first season or your fiftieth.  Tucked into a valley beneath the iconic Eiger, this charming Swiss village is as welcoming as it is jaw-droppingly beautiful. And the best part? The mountain works for every kind of skier.

The Jungfrau Ski Region connects Grindelwald to nearby Wengen and Mürren, giving you over 200 kilometers of pistes to explore across multiple days — so there's always somewhere new to point your skis. The lifts are modern, grooming is immaculate, and the mountain is easy to navigate even if it's your first time here.

After a day on the slopes, the village wraps you up like a warm hug. Think cozy mountain restaurants, steaming bowls of soup, and that particular satisfaction that only comes from a great day's skiing. The chalets are picture-perfect, the locals are genuinely friendly, and the whole place has a relaxed, unhurried feel that's rare in a resort of this quality. Simply put — Grindelwald is the kind of ski trip people talk about for years. And once you've been, you'll understand exactly why.

      SWC Members have priority.

Space is limited to 30 persons.
