Announcing the New Annual SWC Picnic, 10/1/2023!

SWC is pleased to announce a picnic for members to be held at Thacher State Park on Sunday, October 1, 2023 at the Horseshoe 2 Pavilion.  This picnic is our first since COVID, and should be a great transition from summer to fall! The club will supply hamburgers, hot dogs and fixins' for the event.  We plan to eat between Noon and 1 PM.

Please bring a dish to share (thinking about Oktoberfest?), and BYOD (bring your own drinks).  There will be lots of seating at the pavilion, but you might consider bringing lawn chairs.

Horseshoe 2 Pavilion features access to a playground, ball field, horseshoe pits,  a childrens' mini zip line, and of course nature trails (see attached Map).  You are also welcome to bring any lawn games you might like to play.

Note:  There is a $6 entrance fee per car to the park.  Please check the DIRECTIONS attached to this event invitation, or check online here.  Horseshoe 2 Pavilion is located closer to the old entrance gate, so please use the GPS address given below.
