Announcing Annual SWC Picnic and Quarterly Meeting, 9/6/2025!

SWC is pleased to announce our member picnic to be held at Thacher State Park on Saturday, Sept 6, 2025 at the Horseshoe 2 Pavilion.  The club will supply hamburgers, hot dogs and fixins' for the event.  Please bring a dish to share, and BYOD (bring your own drinks).  There will be lots of seating at the pavilion, but you might consider bringing lawn chairs.  We plan to eat between Noon and 1 PM.  This gathering will also be the SWC Quarterly Members meeting.

Horseshoe 2 Pavilion features access to a playground, ball field, horseshoe pits,  a children's mini zip line,  and of course nature trails (see attached Map).  You are also welcome to bring any lawn games you might like to play.  We are planning a group hike on the Long Path from the Thacher Visitor Center (830 Thacher Park Rd, Voorheesville) at 9 AM.  We are also looking for volunteers to help with e.g. setup, cleanup, activities, etc.  Please email us here if you would like to help.

Note:  There is a $6 entrance fee per car to the park.
