SWC Annual Picnic

and Autumn Quarterly Meeting

When: Saturday, September 19, 2026 from 10am-dusk

Where: Peebles Island State Park, 1 Delaware Avenue North, Cohoes, NY 12047. 

What: The plan is to have lunch catered!  FREE! SWC will provide non-alcoholic beverages. We ask that each member bring either a dessert, an appetizer or a snack.

Who: All members, their children and guests are welcome at the Annual SWC picnic. There is no charge for the picnic other than your food contribution.

Action requested: Because we will be using a caterer, it is important we have an accurate count of attendees. Please register with the names of each attendee. If you know what food you would like to bring, please include that as well so that we don’t end up with five trays of crudité and dip!

Peebles Island State Park is at the confluence of the Hudson and Mohawk Rivers. It offers spectacular river and rapids views for walkers and joggers who take advantage of the miles of paths through the gently rolling and wooded landscape. 

Surrounded by two rivers, there are many opportunities to paddle and float. We plan to bring the Club canoes and kayaks so that anyone who wants to paddle may. Please bring your own watercraft, paddles and PFDs as well. We have reserved the only picnic pavilion for the day.
