Help Keep 90+ Years of Tradition Alive:

Did you know that when the Schenectady Wintersports Club was founded in 1932, our members helped build the future of skiing in New York? From organizing the first Snow Train to North Creek to creating one of the nation’s first ski patrols, SWC has always thrived because members stepped up, pitched in, and made things happen.

Now it’s our turn to carry that spirit forward. This fall, we need volunteers for four key events:

📍Maple Ski Ridge Fall Festival: October 11, 9AM–4 PM

📍SWC Work Weekend: October 16-19

📍ADK Ski Expo: November 1–2

📍Holiday Party (Social Committee): planning underway

Volunteering is easy, fun, and a great way to connect with fellow members. Shift lengths are flexible, and you’ll always be paired with another volunteer

What you’ll do:

  • At the booth: Smile, hand out flyers, and share what makes SWC special.

  • Work weekend: Get the clubhouse ready for the season, share meals and stories, build memories with fellow members

  • For the holiday party: Help settle on the menu, agenda, entertainment and prizes.

Why volunteer?

  • Meet other members and share your love of the outdoors.

  • Keep alive an 90+ year tradition of member-powered fun.
  • Share your skills (or learn new ones) in a supportive, fun environment.
  • Gain a deeper connection to SWC’s history and traditions.

SWC has always been built by its members. Be part of the next chapter.

Thanks for keeping the spirit alive!
