General Information

The Northern New York Paddlers sponsor several club races through out the season. Newbies, novices, sometimers, manytimers, real fast paddlers, semi slow paddlers, serious paddlers and glad to have finished paddlers are all encouraged to attend.

Participants should have a Personal Flotation Device (aka life vest)

Time Trials Wednesday Evenings, May - September

Time Trials will be held on Wednesdays at Aqueduct Park (where Rte 146 crosses the Mohawk at Rexford). Registration is 6 pm and start is 6:30pm. This is a 4-mile race against the clock. Cost is $10.00, but free to SWC-NNYP-MVHC Members. Contact Alec Davis for more information

Annual Towpath Regatta

Annually held the closest Thursday to the summer equinox which is June 20th.

The 4.5 mile Towpath Regatta begins at Jumpin’ Jacks in Scotia and ends at Aqueduct Park in Niskayuna. Race Director “Mucho-Dollars” Geoff Moore has agreed to pay the entry fee for everyone this side of the Mississippi. That’s nice. Contact: Geoff Moore

This race is held at Grafton Lakes State Park. The 1st race is 7 miles with a portage. The 2nd race is a 2.5 mi sprint.
